People are strange

I met a man who was taking the Bar. We started talking about our family. He said:

"My wife is legally blind."

Why do people always add a LEGALLY in front of blind. As opposed to PRETENDING to be blind or ILLEGALLY blind. Why not just say the bitch is blind.

Another man I met recently at my Bar Prep course and I had an interesting email correpondence.

Me: It was nice meeting you and spending the last 3 months studying with you. Let's keep in touch.

Him: I have decided that I like you, therefore I have decided to keep in touch with you.

So, what would he have said if he DID NOT like me? Why was this comment necessary? Should I be HONORED that he will keep in touch?

I need to STOP listening to people when they talk!
